What I've been doing instead of blogging...

• put apartment on the market only to end up trading apartments with neighbor across the hall
• somehow passing Organic Chemistry I and II in summer school
• FINALLY finding a diet that works for me....25 pounds skinnier!
• finding new clothes in my closet that now fit, and realizing that some of my favorite items are too big to even take in :(
• adjusting from living with a roommate who had her boyfriend over 24/7 to living by myself (LOVE IT!!)
• family vacation to Chicago
• experiencing southern sorority recruitment for the first time (INTENSE!!!)
• getting adjusted to 5 new classes for the fall semester
• actually doing halfway decent on my first tests! Maybe I've finally figured out how to study ;)
• experienced some AWESOME Carolina football!!!! GO COCKS!!!!
• major shopping trip to Myrtle Beach to get new SMALLER clothes!!
• got my little sister for Kappa! LOVE (pictures of us and gifts to come!)

In other words, I've been a little busy! No excuse I know, but I really want to get this blog started up if only to have a record of these crazy college days!! If I have any readers left, thanks for being the most patient people EVER!

Frustrated

Hey guys. I'm supposed to be studying for my anatomy exam tomorrow morning but I just have to vent.

My parents bought me an apartment a year ago to live in while I go to school. Its an awesome apartment, my only complaint is that me and my roommate live next door to the President of the homeowner's association. Now this guy feels like he has the right to complain about every single little thing me and my roommate do. Now I personally feel this is because we are 2 young girls who he feels are just renting and he can do what he wants. For example, today we were out by the pool and my roommate and her boyfriend got in the hot tub. Well not 10 minutes later this guy is out there asking us if we were in the hot tub last night. Seeing as how I was studying my brains out for my physics exam and my roommate was babysitting, we said no. He then continues to ask us if we were because the emergency button for the hot tub was pushed and he was going to give us the electric bill for whatever it cost to get the hot tub heated up. Now if he would have been nice about it and just asked if we were in it last night, there wouldn't be a problem. But no, he has to come over and automatically assume that we were the cause of the problem and blame us. Another thing. My roommate just got a new puppy that doesn't even stay the night here (her parents live about 15 minutes away and thats where it stays) and 2 days ago around 5pm she barked for like 30 seconds. Well, not 5 minutes later he marched his way over here and said he heard barking last night. And today I got a letter that there was a complaint of excessive barking and if it happens again we'll get fined $250!!! Ugh well I told my dad and he's all pissed off now and said he would take care of it. Isn't that what daddy's are for??

Sorry if this is rambling and doesn't make much sense, but I just had to vent! Has anyone else had HSA problems?? Any suggestions??

Sorry I've been so MIA AGAIN but I have HUGE physics test this morning that basically determines if I fail or pass the class. Please pray and I PROMISE once school is over I will update this thing!!

Delay on the Shopping Post

I know I said I was going to post all about my shopping adventures over spring break, and I fully intended to. I took pictures and everything. But of course life gets in the way. Last night on the way home from the sorority house I got in a little fender bender. Everyone was just fine. If it hadn't been raining all day and the roads weren't wet I probably could've braked and not hit the guy at all. Thankfully, I wasn't issued a ticket or a citation or anything. My dad had originally decided not to file it with the insurance company so our rates wouldn't increase, but when we went to get my car estimated for damages the guy suggested filing with the insurance because they weren't sure how much damage was done to the frame when they get my front bumper off. AND once they have my car they said it could take up the 3 WEEKS to fix!!! And since the insurance company will pay for a rental car, we're going with the insurance! But everything is ok, it was my first accident so of course when I had to call my dad to tell him I bursted into tears! And when I talked to my mom the sobs came again! So ANYWAYS....the shopping post will *hopefully* be coming tomorrow!! Yall have to be the most patient readers ever!!!! And I love ya for it!! :)

Spring Break 09!

Hello Ladies! Sorry  for the lack of posts this week. Since it was spring break I kinda took a break from blogging...along with school work, dieting, the gym, tanning....basically everything!! But hopefully I'll get all my unpacking done and have a long update for you later tonight :)

I want to go SO bad!!

Is anyone else out there in blog land wanting to go to this concert as badly as I do??? Ever since I heard Britney's new CD and heard she was doing a tour I was DYING to go. Unfortunately, as a college student, I can't justify to my parents $100 per ticket. But with the concert being TOMORROW I keep looking at ebay and craigslist hoping some el cheapo tickets will pop up and I can grab them and scramble down to atlanta! If anyone knows of ANYBODY selling their tickets or have some hot connections down in the ATL, please hook a girl up!!! I would FOREVER be in debt to you. :)

On a side note, what did everyone think of the Bachelor?? I for one was a huge fan of Melissa and even though Jason defends himself by saying he just had to do what was right for him, he still didn't have to call Melissa out on national television to publicly break up with her. But by the way Melissa acted, I think she had some inkling that Jason and Molly were happening. When she walked out she already seemed pissed. I don't know there are still rumors going around whether or not last nights after the rose was really the first time Jason and Molly saw each other, and I still don't know if I believe them or not, but I have lost all respect for Jason and how he treated these 2 women. What are your thoughts???

Let it Snow!

This is the picture from our local weather station calling for snow! A good many of the school districts have already cancelled school for the day. Now all USC has to do is cancel classes and we'll be set! With spring break next week, tons of exams and midterms are going on this week and they'll probably wait till 6am like they did last time :(  I'm pretty fortunate that I just have my anatomy exam Thursday afternoon. And I would be studying except my professor won't be telling us whats on the test until Tuesday! He's the kind of professor who the class day before will literally read off the test the exact information we need to know. So whats the point of studying things I might not need to know right? haha...

I was going to post pictures of my last Lilly and Express finds, but Blogger won't let me! I'll try later tonight and hopefully it will work!!

Case of the Mondays...

As if Monday's couldn't be any more exciting, this is what I will spend the next little bit of time doing. I finally caved and did 4 loads of laundry this afternoon. Now all thats left is the FOLDING! I know some people find it relaxing but I just can't stand it! Thank goodness there's Chelsea Lately and J&K+8 to keep my occupied!

I'm at the apartment by myself tonight because my roommate's boyfriend flew in from England today. He was supposed to arrive in Columbia at 8:30 but he ended up missing his connecting flight in Atlanta so he wasn't getting in till 10:30. So she went to the airport to pick him up. He's staying at her parent's house until he can get up on his feet so she was gonna take him there and spend the night/day with him tomorrow. I love my roommate to death, but sometimes nights alone here at the apartment are nice. My roommate goes to bed pretty early, while I'm a night owl, so it's nice that I can make as much noise as I want. But I'll still miss her :)

This arrived for me in the mail this afternoon!! Sorry that the picture isn't right side up, but thats how it uploaded from my camera and I couldn't figure out how to change it. I would try and find out but you saw all that laundry I have to fold! ;)

Weekly Recap

Hey yall! Hope you have had a good week. We actually got snow here in SC, well more like a dusting, but that didn't prevent my early morning class from getting cancelled! So with Monday off for Martin Luther King day it felt like a pretty short week. And the forecast for early next week is calling for snow again!!!

I'm also 3 weeks into my Firm bootcamp and lemme tell ya its kicking my butt! It also came with a meal plan, but I realized early on that I was just to tired/impatient everynight to cook a meal at 8:30 at night that I decided to buy some lean cuisine meals and steamer veggie packs and try to eat some of the snacks that they have suggested. My favorite is a chocolate rice cake with a little bit of peanut butter on top YUM! :)

I also did a little bit of shopping!! Whats a week with a trip to the mall right? I ended up finding a super elegant black winter coat from Express. It was missing two buttons so it was DEEPLY discounted! It was originally $298 and with an extra 40% off clearance it ended up being $30!!!

So my mom and I are busy looking for some buttons that she can sew on and then I'll be set!

This week my sorority held its informal spring rush. I wasn't able to go either Tuesday or Wednesday because of my bootcamp classes, but we got 9 new girls and I can't wait to meet them :)

It doesn't look like it on here but I feel like I've been running around these past 2 weeks and I am exhausted!! I'm looking forward to tomorrow at 11am when my weekend starts! My cousin's engagement party is Saturday night and getting together with my family is always a good time!

I don't know if yall are tired of these giveaway posts but the stuff you can win is just too cute not to tell yall about! I actually *mistakenly* got a wholesale kit from their stationary company a couple weeks ago and all of the stuff on there is amazing!! My mom and I are thinking about selling some of it, depending on how much interest we get from our friends. So if yall are interested let me know!
